Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 July 2026

Atrium is a desktop app that personalizes the sound on your computer. It's built on one principle: your hearing is yours. Everything Atrium does happens on your own device.

The short version

What Atrium processes

To do its job, Atrium reads the audio your computer is playing, applies your personalized equalization and spatial processing, and plays the result to your headphones. This happens entirely in memory, in real time. No audio is ever written to disk, recorded, or sent over a network.

What Atrium stores (locally, on your device)

Atrium keeps the following on your own computer so it can remember your setup between sessions:

This information is stored in Atrium's local application storage. It is never uploaded, never shared, and never leaves your device. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app.

Hearing & health data

Atrium's tests measure aspects of your hearing to tune your sound. These results are personal and stay on your device. Atrium is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. If you have concerns about your hearing or tinnitus, please consult a qualified audiologist.

Accounts and purchases

Buying Signature Edition requires an Atrium account. For an account we store your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and your signed-in devices. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your subscription status is read from Stripe to unlock the app. Account data is separate from your hearing data, which stays on your device either way. You can delete your account at any time from the account page; deleting it does not cancel a subscription (manage that in the billing portal) and does not touch anything stored on your PC.

Third parties

Atrium does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs inside the app. The only third party involved is Stripe, which handles payment and subscription billing for Signature Edition.

Children

Atrium is a general-audience audio utility and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here and dated above.
